I design learning and creative experiences for dancers, educators, young people, and communities who want to move in ways that are culturally grounded, liberatory, and deeply human. Below are some of the ways we can work together. All offerings can be customized based on your community, institution, or organization’s needs.

  • Continent of Africa

    Deep Root Educator Training

    Who it’s for: Dance educators, teaching artists, faculty, program leaders

    What it is:
    A professional development series that introduces the Deep Root Methodology™ and offers practical tools for culturally responsive, liberation-centered teaching in dance and movement spaces. Sessions can include lecture, movement practice, small group reflection, and curriculum support.

    Format: Half-day, full-day, or multi-session series (virtual or in-person)

  • Continent of Africa

    K–12 & Community Workshops

    Who it’s for: Schools, youth programs, community centers, intergenerational groups

    What it is:
    Workshops that blend African Diasporic dance, creative process, and conversation to help participants explore identity, history, and healing through movement. Sessions can be tailored for beginners through advanced movers and aligned with curriculum goals.

    Format: Single workshops, short residencies, or longer-term projects

  • Continent of Africa

    Artist Consulting & Creative Mentorship

    Who it’s for: Emerging and mid-career artists, choreographers, and creative leaders

    What it is:
    One-on-one or small-group mentorship focused on project development, career clarity, grant and festival planning, curriculum design, and strategy for creative sustainability. Together, we build a path that honors both your artistry and your well-being.

    Format: Single sessions or 3–6 session mentorship packages

  • Continent of Africa

    College & University Residencies

    Who it’s for: Dance programs, African Diaspora studies, performance studies, education departments

    What it is:
    Residencies and guest artist engagements that may include technique classes (African Diasporic forms, Jazz/Lyrical, Contemporary), choreography commissions, lectures on dance and culture, and Deep Root-infused creative process labs.

    Format: Single visit, multi-day residencies, or semester-long collaborations

    Speaking, Panels & Keynotes

    Who it’s for: Conferences, symposia, festivals, community events

    What it is:
    Talks and facilitated conversations on topics such as African Diasporic dance, culturally responsive, liberatory pedagogy, Deep Root Methodology™, ancestral memory, and being a “good ancestor” in and through the arts.
